Eines Tages geht Jared auf eine Party, wo ein vier Kumpel ein Mädchen vergewaltigen. Jared sieht das, aber tut nichts. Am nächsten Tag ist das Mädchen tot, ist wurde ermordet. 

Die Tat spaltet die Schule. Die Mädchen sind wütend auf die Täter. Die Jungs verhöhnen die Moral des toten Mädchens.

Auf Jared kommt vieles zu: sein schlechtes Gewissen, die Fragen der Polizei, ein Freund will ein Alibi und seine Mutter will mit ihm über ihre drohende Krebsoperation reden.

One day Jared went to a party, four of his mates’ gang-rape a girl there. Jared witnesses this, but he did not anything. The next day the girl is dead, she is murdered.

The offence splits the schools. The girls are angry about the offenders and the boys are jeering at the dead girl’s morality.

There are many things coming up to Jared: his bad conscience, questions of the police, a friend wants an alibi and his mother wants to talk to him about her impending cancer surgery.
